HEAT SHRINKABLE INDOOR/OUTDOOR TERMINATIONS (EPKT) ARMORED (STA/DSTA/SWA)

TE Connectivity’s (TE) Raychem EPKT-01xx termination series features STA/DSTA/SWA armoring with polymeric insulation for both indoor and outdoor low voltage power cables. They are designed for applications in utility networks to accommodate both crimp or mechanical lugs and can accommodate various cable constructions.

Breakouts seal the cable area with a solderless earth connection system consisting of an earth braid and a fi xture onto the armor connection (supplied in the kit). Core protection sleeves are supplied in a longer length, conveniently rolled up to provide maximum fl exibility for on-site tail length adjustments. The sleeves provide UV resistance to individual cores even if the cable has no UV stabilized conductors as supplied. Phase marker sleeves are also included in the kit.

Adhesive-lined, lug sealing tubes ensure a watertight, weather resistant seal. The lugs, either crimp or mechanical (depending on requirement), are optional with each kit. The EPKT termination kits are available for low voltage plastic insulated cables with 3 to 5 cores and conductor
cross-sections ranging from 1.5 mm2 up to 300 mm2. Raychem termination kits are supplied complete with full installation and application information. Each termination has been fully type tested according to EN50393:2015 with additional impulse voltage withstand.
